Apple Cake


(for 4 people)
300 g semi-wholemeal flour
200 g BioRiceDrink Barley
100 g brown sugar
50 g corn seed oil
10 grapes cut in half and deprived of seeds
1 apple
18 g baking powder
peel of a grated lemon
3 drops of vanilla flavoring

In a bowl, combine all the dry ingredients (flour, sugar, lemon peel) and then add the oil, Bio Rice Barley Drink and the drops of vanilla. When the ingredients are well combined, pour the mixture into a cake tin lined with greaseproof paper and garnish with the apple and grape slices (as in the picture). Bake in a preheated fan oven at 180°C for 30 – 35 minutes, checking whether it is baked with a toothpick. Remove from the oven and leave to cool. Serve with decoration as preferred.
